Hello! My name is Sofia, and I'm a freshman at Georgetown University, majoring in International Business. Growing up between Chicago and Paris — where I spent the last five years — deepened my love of languages and cross-cultural communication, which led me to tutoring. I've always believed that the best way to understand a subject truly is to be able to explain it to someone else, and that's exactly what drives my passion for teaching. I tutor in Mathematics, English, Spanish, French, and Italian at a range of levels. Whether you're building foundational skills or working through more advanced material, I'll do my best to make things click in a way that actually works for you. I look forward to working with you!

My name is Christina Pan. I'm a Georgetown student currently studying abroad at Waseda University in Tokyo, majoring in Comparative Literature and Philosophy. I offer online tutoring in Literature, Philosophy, Essay Editing, and SAT Prep. My literary focus is in Chinese, Japanese, and Russian literature, and on the philosophy side, I work primarily in aesthetics and phenomenology. If you're looking for a tutor who can offer something beyond the standard curriculum, that's where I come in.
I am fluent in Mandarin and would be happy to teach combined subjects in Mandarin (for example, tutoring Math in Mandarin). I have professional experience editing college admissions essays through Solomon Admissions Consulting, and a background tutoring gifted kids on the spectrum as well as students who have experienced trauma. I'm attuned to the fact that every student learns differently, and I adjust accordingly. I’ve also taught elementary school math through Teach for America. I also write creatively and have experience in publishing in literary magazines, if you’re interested in writing short stories or poetry. If you have an essay or creative piece you're working through, I'm happy to be a second set of eyes. At Georgetown, I worked as a Philosophy transcriptionist for a Professor and as a barista, and I also do some work as a graphic designer. I graduated from Stuyvesant High School in NYC and can also help with the SHSAT.
